The Teachers’ Handbook and Administrative Instructions provided guidance to Western Australian teachers in matters relating to the organization and administration of schools and educational services.
The book was divided into two sections.
Section A: Administrative Instructions included Departmental instructions which were issued from time to time by the Director-General of Education. All teachers were expected to adhere to the instructions issued in this section.
Section B: The Teachers’ Handbook contained information to be used by teachers in the organization of their schools or classes and provided them with background information that may be asked of them by parents or other members of the community.
Teachers were required to refer to the Education Regulations and to The Education Circular in conjunction with this book in order to obtain a current understanding.
