Overview

The yellow label on the front cover also features a drawing of a large pair of scissors cutting the other three drawings. In the lower left corner of the label is the makers mark [The Language Centre / 555 BEAUFORT STREET, / MOUNT LAWLEY - 328 8965]

On the lower side of the box there is a sticker on the left hand side with [TR / 4174] printed in black ink. In the middle of the lower side is another sticker with [ELEMENTARY COMMUNICATION GAMES] underlined in black.Below this is printed [ WHERE ARE MY GLASSES? / A game of asking and replying / A game of prepositions?].

Located inside the box is the game which consists of a series of laminated papers which are handed to students.

Historical information

The Adult Migrant English Project (AMEP) was established in 1948 to provide English language training to recent arrivals to assist with their settlement in Australia. AMEP has been located at 145 Jull St, Armadale, since 2009, but moved into 25 Church Ave, Armadale, on 15/07/2024. This game forms a part of the lessons in English provided by AMEP to newly arrived immigrants.

The AMEP is a free service designed to help migrants improve their English skills. It is funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.
