Green box contain [SRA READING LABORATORY]

On the front of box is a white label with black printing [READING & / VOCABULARY].

The back of box has a green cardboard label with [SRA READING LABORATORY 111b] printed along the top. The words are black, while the number is white. Below this, on the left side of the label, printed in black is [by Don H. Parker]. Under this is [S R A] printed in yellow with a black square behind each of the letters. Under this, printed in black, is the makers information [Science Research Associates, Inc. / 259 East Erie Street, Chicago, Illinois 60611 / A Subsidiary of IBM / C 1963, Science Research Associates, Inc. all rights res] (box has been damaged for the rest of the line). Finally, also in black print, is [R Registered U.S. Pat. Off. / Reorder number 3-4800].

Left and right side of green cardboard box is printed with [SRA READING LABORATORY 111b], the words in white, the number in black. Under this is black is [Multilevel Learning Laboratories TM], then [S R A] in yellow with a black square behind each of the lettering.

Inside of box are four separate boxes containing cards for learning.

Historical information

The Adult Migrant English Project (AMEP) was established in 1948 to provide English language training to recent arrivals to assist with their settlement in Australia. AMEP has been located at 145 Jull St, Armadale, since 2009, but moved into 25 Church Ave, Armadale, on 15/07/2024. This reading laboratory forms a part of the lessons in English provided by AMEP to newly arrived immigrants.

The AMEP is a free service designed to help migrants improve their English skills. It is funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.
