Historical information

John Fox (1816-66) was a butcher convicted of defrauding the Excise and transported to the colony on the Lord Raglan in 1858 (no.4951). He worked at Newcastle (now Toodyay) before moving to Greenough.
Michael Clarkson leased “Mt Anderson” at Toodyay and was also Superintendent of the Toodyay Convict Hiring Station.
