MEDALLION: CITY OF SUBIACO SILVER MEDALLION - BOXED

Overview

a) Silver medallion enclosed in plastic cover. Front has rim around the edge with 'THE CITY OF SUBIACO - MEDALLION' inside this and the city's Armorial Bearings in the cast in the centre (see 2008.12 for full description). The edge is smooth. The back has rim around the edge with 'PRESENTED / TO' and two branches of olive leaves crossed at the base and running three quarters of the way around the medallion. There is a small embellishment above the wording.
b) The spring hinged box is covered in imitation green leather. The lid is lined in green satin, and the base lined in white plastic with a green velvet insert with a round depression in which the medallion sits. On the lid lining is printed in silver the circular logo of the Perth Mint of a swan with a ribbon encircled with the words 'THE PERTH MINT EST. 1899'.
