AUSTRALIAN SERVICE MEDAL 1945-1975 WITH CLASP 'JAPAN' AND LETTER

Overview

a)Obverse has Australian Coat of Arms in the centre and 'THE AUSTRALIAN SERVICE MEDAL1945-1975' around the perimiter. There is a crown at the top with a slotted bar through which the ribbon is attached. There is a pin on the reverse of the ribbon which is purple, beige,green, yellow, and light blue, stripes. The reverse has a stylised 7 pointed star with 'S10225 / G T DADOUR' in the centre. Between the points of the star and the rimis floral decoration. The edge is smooth.
B) Miniature of the above without the ribbon and without the name in the centre of the star.
C) Extra ribbon for the medal.
D) Ribbon for the miniature.
E) Silver metal bar with raised edge, a hole in each corner and 'JAPAN' raised in the centre. The back is smooth.
F) Miniature of the above but with only one hole each side.
G) Black leatherette spring hinged box with white satin lining in the lid. The base has green velvet moulded to hold the medal. On the top of the lid in silver print is 'AUSTRALIAN / SERVICE / MEDAL / 1945-1975'.
H) White card sleeve for the box with white sticker with 'S10225 / G T DADOUR / NAVY ASM45 JAPAN SCH 03/04' in black print. On the left hand side of the box is printed in black 'AUSTRALIAN SERVICE MEDAL 1945-1975'.
I) Letter from the Directorate of Honours and Awards on Australian Government Department of Defence letterhead addressed to Mr G T Dabour enclosed with the medal.
