Overview

A delicate hand beaded evening bag made in 1920/30s, the Jazz Age. A bag to complement the beaded ‘flapper dresses’ of the 1920s and 1930s.The glitzy appearance from the shiny pearlized sequin blocks outlined in pearlised seed beads and copper bugle beads is stitched on white fabric with blue satin lining with a pocket.

Unusual 25 mm gusset on base and wider at sides is covered in hand embroidered pearlized sequins.

Plain gilded metal frame, with narrow bar lift clasp. Gilded metal chain handle attached to one side of opening.
