PHOTOGRAPH: SUBIACO CHOIR, C.1930
c. 1930The black and white photograph taken inside a hall, shows the male and female members of the choir in formal dress. The female members are in evening wear, probably the clothes they wore at public performances. The men are in dinner suits with bow ties. Members of choir include Mrs E Lynda Donegan, Mrs Greig, Mrs Moody and Mrs Hannah Metz. The choir is arranged in four rows with the men at the back and on the sides. The conductor is seated in the middle of the front row. The following have been identified; Mrs Lynda Donegan, third from right in the third row (lived at 63 Rupert Street from 1911-1972); Mrs Hannah Metz, second from right in second row (in front of Mrs Donegan) and perhaps Mrs Moody, second to right from the conductor, and Mrs Greig, on left of conductor, have been identified. On the mount underneath the photograph are the words: 'Subiaco Choir (circa 1930)'.
