PHOTOGRAPH: DETAIL OF VERANDAH AT 134 TOWNSHEND ROAD, SUBIACO
1989The black and white photograph of the brick and iron roofed residence shows details of the cast-iron brackets and 'lace' valence on the front verandah. There is a wooden gable over the verandah roof with carved timber work which is placed on either side of the fancy finial. The cast-iron lace work forms a half circle around the two front verandah posts with a 'lacy' border at the top between the posts. The house was built in 1904. The panelled front door has a brass knocker and a central knob.
