PHOTOGRAPH: PRIVATE WILLIAM GEORGE HARVEY IN UNIFORM
The black and white portrait shows the head and shoulders of Private Harvey (WX 10591) of the 32nd Battalion who was killed in action in Italy on 5.5.1944. The framed picture hung for many years in the Progress Hall until it was placed in the museum in 1985. Private Harvey lived in Shenton Park. He is wearing the Australian uniform and a slouch hat. Printed on the cardboard mount under the photograph are the words: 'WX10591 Pte William George Harvey 32nd Battalion Killed in Action Italy 5.5.1944'
