PHOTOGRAPH: STABLE AT NEW SUBIACO
1987The black and white photograph shows the north elevation of an old stable built by the Benedictine Monks at New Subiaco (now Catherine McCauley Centre). The single storey building is in poor condition. There is a large chimney on the left side of the building, with windows and wooden doors on the front of the building. The mortar has fallen off in places and the beams of the roof are visible where the shingles have gone. The stable was built in the 1850s.
