Smocked children’s garments were very popular in mid 20th century when new magazines like Stitchcraft and Golden Hands printed new stiches and patterns.
This little girl’s yellow vyella dress with broad smocked yoke, has a collar edged in buttonhole stitch and puff sleeves. Buttoned at the back.
