Overview

Diary recording activities associated with the property "Newgain", located on Dumbarton Road, Dumbarton in the Shire of Toodyay, Western Australia. Also including documents found inserted into the diary pages. The diary was written by Frank Twine.
a) A foolscap board covered diary marked 'Woods' Australian Diary 1927'. The covers are stained and faded. This diary has each page interleaved with blotting paper and most entries are in ink although some are in pencil.
b) An invoice from Alfred James, Toodyay for the supply of 3 bags of Super.
c)An invoice from Massey Harris for some bolts,
d) A 2 sided broadsheet from the Sunday Times Perth Western Australia, October 25 1925. The 2 pages are headed 'FOR THE MAN ON THE LAND' and has various relevant articles and advertising for farm equipment and services.
