Overview

Diary recording activities associated with the property "Newgain", located on Dumbarton Road, Dumbarton in the Shire of Toodyay, Western Australia. Also including documents found inserted into the diary pages. The diary was written by Frank Twine.
a) A foolscap board covered diary marked 'Woods' Australian Diary 1927'. The covers are stained and faded. This diary has each page interleaved with blotting paper and most entries are in ink with some are in pencil.
b) A cream coloured typewritten letter from the Western Australian Bank confirming a new overdraft.
c) A copy of a letter sent by Frank Twine to Westralian Farmers Ltd. on 26/11/27 re. E Castell who was working on his farm. The letter shows his dissatisfaction with the man and asking that he be employed elsewhere.
d) A hand written chart headed Wheat weights Newgain 20/7/27with various calculations.
