NEWGAIN FARM DIARY 1921/1922 BUSINESS/FINANCIAL
1921Financial record of activities associated with the property "Newgain", located on Dumbarton Road, Dumbarton in the Shire of Toodyay, Western Australia. Also including documents found inserted into the diary pages. The diary was written by Frank Twine.
a) A black foolscap sized board bound book described as ' The Farmers Business Diary' and prepared by the Westralian Farmers Ltd. The covers are very dirty and the inside pages have become detached from the spine.
The diary is divided into various sections relating to the activities of a farm property, such as stock, income, purchases etc.
Various entries are made in the years 1921 and 1922.
b) Copy of Land Tax return for 1914 which was found in the diary.
c) Three copies of tax return for 1921/1922 for A & F Twine.
d) Three invoices from J Somers & Son for fuel and repairs.
e) Wool Redemption Certificate from the British Australian Wool Realisation Association Ltd dated 18th May 1922..
f) Sales docket from Elder Smith & Co for the sale of 3 bales of wool.
g) Sales docket from Dalgety& Company Ltd for 2 sacks of greasy wool.
h) Directions for sowing Grain with Massey Harris No 8 Drill which was in the diary loose but was copied by Frank Twine April 17th 1915.
i) Directions for Sowing Standard Super Phosphate which was in the diary loose but was copied by Frank Twine April 17th 1915.
