“Australians 28. / 12th February, 1919 / Mouchemore, E.C. 6351 / Killed 3rd Oct. 1918. Det D/B / I knew Mouchemore of the 28th Battalion, but I don’t know his / number. This Mouchemore was well made and fairly tall, clean shaven. / I saw him hit at Bellicourt, by a shell, and I believe he was killed / outright. We were attacking at the time so – couldn’t stay / Inf. Pte. E.F. Rehm. No 4286 / A.I.F. 28 B VI / Australian Demob. Camp”.
