Historical information

The Kelmscott Branch of the Country Women's Association was established in 1944, and was in operation until their closure in 2019. The Kelmscott branch of the C.W.A held their meetings in the St. Mary in the Valley Hall, Kelmscott.

The branch provided an important place for local women to meet and socialise, as well as engage in the learning, sharing and exhibiting of a variety of artist and domestic skills from singing, poetry, recitations, plays, cooking and crafts.

This register of members lists the names and, in later years the addresses, of all of their members and magazine members between 1961 and 1996.
