Overview

Round, metal, gold-coloured medal.
On the front, there is a red laurel decoration around edge, and a triangle in the middle that contains a gold sun with five gold rays emanating from it. The rays are separated by red enamel panels. Across the middle of the triangle is a blue trapezoid with gold text that reads: [APEX]. Raised text on each side of the triangle reads: [1931] (left-side), [1981] (right-side), [50 YEARS] (bottom).
On the back, there is a gold laurel decoration around edge with engraved text in middle that reads: [100% / Dinner / Attendance / Cam Clay / 1981].

Historical information

Medal was presented to Cam Clay in 1981 for his 100% dinner attendance at the Armadale Kelmscott Apex Club which he helped found in 1969. He left the club in 1981, aged 40, as per the rules of the Apex Club. Cam, through the Apex Club, gave many hours of community service to the local community. He was also a member of a number of environmental groups tasked with saving local environments as well as other community groups such as the Bedfordale Volunteer Firebrigade. Cam and Fay lived in the area from 1969-1973 before leaving briefly and then moving to Bedfordale in 1979 where they lived until 2013. Cam Clay passed away in 2013.
