Historical information

William Sutherland (b.1827) was a Scottish labourer convicted in 1858 of house breaking and theft and sentenced for 10 years. He arrived in WA on the Palmerston in 1861 (no.5808). By 1863 he was working at Greenough, and by 1866 was farming there.
Valentine Trew (convict no. 6753) worked as a storekeeper for John Maley at Greenough from 1865-69.
Robert Bell (b.1826) was a farmer at Greenough, and a member of the Greenough Roads Board (1871). He died in January 1877.
