Order for boots
1865Hand written note on a scrap of grey paper with pink horizontal stripes
David Sievright (or Sievewright) (1829-1876) was convicted of theft and sent to Western Australia in 1856 (3829). He eventually married and became a farmer at Greenough.
George Davis (or Davies) (1842-?) was convicted of arson and sent to Western Australia in 1863 (no.7387). Other records show that he worked for Sievright at the time this note was written. Davis left the colony in 1870.

Sievright was described as being semi-literate, and this can be proved on reading this note. There are another two notes associated with him in the archives, but this is the only note we have regarding Davis.
