9ct gold, silver lined brooch featuring a kangaroo on a boomerang
c. 1900 - 19209ct gold, silver lined brooch featuring a kangaroo facing to the right attached to an inverted boomerang. This motif is typical of that used around the time of Australian Federation.
It has a brooch attachment on the reverse - a pin which is secured in a metal loop on the opposite side. The back of both the kangaroo and boomerang are hollow.

There are several items in the collection which feature Australian fauna and boomerangs. Many of these patriotic items were sold as souvenirs following the Federation in 1901.
