c. 1918Embroidered red sateen patriotic souvenir cloth featuring two (2) large flags of the United Kingdom and Egypt with six (6) other allies nations being France, Russia, Italy, Belgium, Serbia and Japan. In the centre features a padded photograph frame in white cotton sateen shaped as a life buoy set in front of an embroidered anchor with crown above with 'Victory for the Allies' above that. The life buoy acts as a frame and bears a black and white portrait photograph of an unknown Australian soldier in a slouch hat. Beneath the frame has embroidered a small branch and flower.
