Arrived Albany nine twenty 9//7/40
Reported to Major Vaughan
124 Heavy Battery Albany
And I am please to say his Major Vaughan NCO + men of the Artillery gave us a hearty welcome to their Barracks + I am sure we shall all be a very happy family.
I also made contact with all party concerning my duty.

Wednesday 10/7/40
10 Garrison do their first Guard at the Artillery Barracks + put on quite a good show. Major Vaughan quite pleased with manner in which they carried out their duty.
11/7/40
Camp duty, nothing of interest to report.

12/7/40
Boat due in on Sunday making arrangements for wharf guard.
13/7/40
10 Garrison doing camp duty. Leave from 2pm until midnight. All well + happy + having a good time.

14/7/40
Expecting the Katoomba to arrive about 10pm.
15/7/40
Katoomba arrived 1.30am. Had wharf guard posted + arrangements worked without a hitch.
Nothing unusual to report.
Katoomba sailed 12-5pm 15/7/40.
Guard returned to Barracks. Weather rain wind + very cold. All ranks well + happy.
