'Craigmuir'
c. 1895Two photographs of Craigmuir.
Large two storey house of random stone with a tile or shingle roof and decorative chimney pots. Wide, angled balcony is balustraded and both it and the verandah beneath have decorative posts and brackets. A more simple building is joined to the main structure by a verandah and a rough lean-to is visible at the rear. Four people and two dogs are standing at the front of the house which is surrounded by rough grass. There are a few plants in half barrels and a post and wire fence. The foreground is covered with limestone rubble, a few low shrubs and several panels of paling fence. In the natural bush background is another iron roofed structure.
Craigmuir was the home of Judge Burnside.
