Overview

B/W Studio portraits of Peggy Sharkey (a) Head and shoulders profile of a young woman. She has short wavy hair and is wearing a a simple frock of light material with ruffled trim and tiny flowers edging the large round neckline. The print has been glued to card and cut in an oval shape. Written on the rear in pencil [Peggy Sharkey ] and notes re prints required. (b) Full face portrait taken at the same time and mounted on fawn card with a gold border and studio name. On the rear [ Peggy Sharkey].

Historical information

Marie Ray (Peggy) Sharkey married Neville Cullen in 1934 and lived at 3 Bindaring Pde. Had daughter Ray Eastwood, a son Peter and son David. Daughter of Florence and Raymond Sharkey.
