Overview

These eight black and white photographs dated 11th August 1968 show scenes of the course construction progress and the newly sealed entry road into the golf course.

The photographs have been obtained from negatives that have been professionally scanned. The negatives were in an envelope suggesting that they may have been donated by, and perhaps also taken by, foundation member Elsie Maurice.

Four of of the course photographs have their location identified but the others are unknown.

It appears that Beasley Road was bitumenised at the same time as the sealing of the golf course entry road.

Other course construction photographs appear in items 2021.75 and 2023.196.

The file size of each of these high-definition photographs is between 18 and 23MB.
