POSTCARD: EMBOSSED PINK ROSES WITH ATTACHED BOOKLET

Overview

Horizontal cream postcard with five pink embossed roses with green leaves which surround a sqaure booklet that is attached diagoally in the centre. The bookloet is made from two rectangles of card folded in the middle, attached to the card wth pink string tied ine the middle. The postcard must have been made with two layers of card as the string is not visible on the reverse. There is signigficant yellowing and staining across the surface as well as chunks of card missing tghroughout.

The reverse has the word post card written in the top centre in 13 different languages. The top row is in french, german and english - 'Carte Postale - Postkarte - Post Card'. Below, a double vertical line splits the card vertically. A handwritten message on the right hand side reads 'To dear mother(?) / with best love / from Papa wishing / you a Merry XMAs'. The top right hand corner has a dotted rectangle for the stamp. 'Made in Germany' printed vertically along the left short edge.
