Overview

Vertical black and white postcard with image of two roses in an oval. 'A JOYOUS / CHRISTMAS / AND / BRIGHT / NEW YEAR.' curves around the top of the oval. The bottom right corner of the card is missing, which cuts off the end of four lines of text. They read 'MAY CHRISTMAS GAY WITH IT- / ALL YOUR TROUBLES MOST QU- / THE NEW YEAR BRING YOU JO- . KIND FRIENDS, AND A NICE-'. There are small decorative florals surround the text. '715 R COPYRIGHT' is printed in the bottom right corner, and half covered by a dark stain.

The reverse has a stamp in the top centre of a globe, with the words 'POST' and 'CARD' either side. 'BEAGLES' is curved around the op of the globe, the word 'Best' is written across it diagonally and 'POST CARDS' curves below it. 'BEST IN THE WORLD' is printed below this. 'FOR CORRESPONDENCE' is printed on the left hand side and 'FOR ADDRESS ONLY' on the right. The top right corner has a rectangle for a stamp which reads ' PRINTED / IN / ENGALND / BY / J. BEAGLES & CO. / LTD., / LONDON. E. C.' Along the short left edge reads: 'J BEAGLES & CO., LTD., E.C., PRINTERS & PUBLISHERS / GUARANTEED REAL PHOTOGRAPH'.
