Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club Boat
c. 1938 - 1939Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club (CSLC) surf rescue boat being rowed by three surf club members, to Mottram's boat shed for storage over winter, at 10 Victoria Avenue, Claremont. Hull of boat is a dark colour, three men are rowing and another standing, steering at the stern. Other moored boats to the left, river foreshore in the background and to the right in the foreground, part of 'The Mansions' wooden picket fence.
Donor Both Tom and Lawrie lost their lives in World War II.states that ' The boat would have been rowed from the Surf Club to Mottrams by members of the Cottesloe Surf Club for storage over the winter period'. And 'It is most probable that two of the crew were Tom Hill and Lawrie Mottram.'
