The writer of this invoice, A. Pead, is possibly Alexander William Pead (1844-1884) who was a carpenter at Geraldton.
John Stephen Maley had built a general store at Greenough onto the eastern end of his flourmill in 1863, and in 1865 extended his cottage with the construction of a separate kitchen, dining room and cellar.
