Overview

Decorative bone china plate made by Grimwades, Stoke-on-Trent, England.
It feaures a gold border encircling a floral band of pink roses on a black background, The central part of the plate has a pebbled pattern in green and gold hues over a cream base. In the centre of the plate is a very colourful depiction of the Australian Coat of Arms. The exterior is a sky blue. There is a kangaroo to the left and an emu to the right supporting a shield, bwlow which the word 'Australia' appears in a red scroll. There are sprigs of wattle and a gold star around the main emblem.
