Parachute Regiment Commemorative Plate - Battle Honours

Overview

Glossy bone china plate commemorating some of the battle honours of the Parachute Regiment during World War II.
It has the logo of the Parachute Regiment in the centre - Bellerophon astride Pegasus - in blue over a Parachute Regiment cap badge with light grey wings either side of a blue parachute.
This is surrounded by a circle of maroon containing the words 'The Parachute Regiment', written in gold. This is topped by the Queen's Crown. Underneath is the Latin motto, 'Utrinque Paratus' (meaning 'Ready for Anything') written in black lettering inside a golden scroll.
To the outside of this are 10 golden scrolls with maroon writing representing the theatres of war where the Parachute Regiment were engaged.
The edge of the plate has a gold border.
The maker's details are on the reverse of the plate.
