APEX NAME BADGE CAM CLAY

Overview

Round, white plastic disc with black lettering as follows [APEX CLUB OF ARMADALE KELMSCOTT W.A.] around the perimeter with the APEX logo above [CAM / CLAY / BANKING] written vertically down the centre of the badge.

There is an aluminium alligator clip glued to the back to affix the tag to an item of clothing.

Historical information

APEX is a national organisation for young professionals from the area to dedicate their spare time into projects that better their local community. APEX projects range from helping the eldery and disabled in the community to environmental protection and restoration.
This APEX badge was used by Cam Clay, who was a member of the local APEX club from 1980 until 2010. APEX is an organisation for young professionals to dedicate their spare time to better their local community. The Armadale-Kelmscott APEX Club is no longer in existence.
Cam originally joined due to his position in the local branch of the Commercial Bank of Australia (now a part of Westpac Banking Corporation).
Cam was a very active member of the local Bedfordale, where he had lived since the early 1970s with his family, and the wider City of Armadale community. He was passionate about saving and improving the local environment as well as doing community service with organisations such as the Bedfordale Volunteer Bushfire Brigade. In 2011 he was awarded the City of Armadale's Citizen of the Year Award.
