Statement of significance

This badge was used in the Australian Girl Guides which started in Australia in 1910. The badge was used as an identification patch for the wearer. Badges and patches were given to members for different reasons such as rank or earned achievements during their time as a member.

This particular patch was given to the donor who was involved in the Armadale branch of the organisation from 1983 until 2000.
