Historical information

This image was reproduced from an original sepia-coloured photograph from the collection of baseball memorabilia of Alan Cunningham, 1963 captain of the Junior Premiers team. The original photograph was sealed in a domed-fronted, clear plastic frame with a gold-coloured metal back. The photo was surrounded by a cream-coloured photo mat.

Permission to copy the photograph and frame was given to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by Alan Cunningham's daughter Carol Cunningham.

Known playing positions were: Alan Cunningham (pitcher), Robin Nussey (reserve pitcher), Vaughan Nightingale (catcher), Mark Edwards (1st base), R. Goodwin (2nd base), Digby Barrett (3rd base), Robin Nussey (short stop).

Established in 1947, the South Perth Baseball Club has been involved in the sport in Western Australia for more than 70 years.
