Image: The photograph was taken from across the railway tracks to the buildings of the Whittakers Timber Yards with the name displayed on the roofs of the sheds. A horse and cart and a few figures can be discerned in front of the entrance at the left hand side of the image. A horse and its rider can be seen under a gas light in the centre. Two other men stand alongside the horse. The railway tracks can be seen in the foreground behind which is a timber post and rail fence.
