PHOTOGRAPH: THE REVEREND AND MRS GILBERT MCLAREN

Image: The Reverend McLaren wears a cleric's stiff collar and double breasted frock coat. Mrs McLaren wears a long black dress with puffed sleeves and a high necked white blouse and a pearl choker. The couple rest one elbow on either side of a pedestal with a plant in a pot placed at the foot. Handwritten by donor on the front of the image: 'Methodist Rev and Mrs Gilbert McLaren christened me in 1907.' Handwritten on the back: Mrs McLaren was Dorothy May. May be first Minister of Subiaco Methodist Church - may be in old Methodist Church near corner of Axon and Hay Streets. Rev. McLaren married and & Mrs Luce in 1906 and christened Gwen in 1907 in Subiaco Church.' Donor is unknown but possibly Gwen Luce.
