Purple fabric rectangular pennant, gold braiding on the sides, gold tassels along bottom edge which forms a V-shape, gold painted text on front [ARMADALE CONG / Y.P.S.C.E. / FOR CHRIST / AND THE / CHURCH], in the middle is an outline of a love heart inside is the letter C with the letter E within the C, gold brain hanging cord across the top, top edge has been folded over stitched and placed

Historical information

This pennant was made by members of the church for the Young Peoples Society Christian Endeavor which was a social group in the early 1900s. The pennant was used at the Armadale Congregational Church by the 1950s, the pennant has been stored away in a cupboard in the church supper room.
