Aldis film projector and case with Little League Baseball training films

Overview

A black, alloy metal Aldis film projector and seven baseball training film strips contained in black, red, blue or grey, round, plastic cannisters. Each film cannister has a white label attached to its lid, bearing the title of the film and where it was produced. The projector and films are stored in a brown, compressed fibre carry case, which has a brown, metal handle and brown, metal reinforcements on the corners and edges of the case.

Historical information

The Aldis film projector was manufactured in England. The seven rolls of Little League Baseball training films were produced in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, USA.

Contextual Information

The projector and films were the property of Ray Allen, who was a prominent player with Wests Baseball Club in the 1950s and was a stalwart of Little League and Junior Baseball Development in the Tuart Hill area for many years. R.E. Allen, Tuart Hill is handwritten on two of the film cannister labels. They were donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by the Allen family.
