1956 Australian Olympic blazer pocket
This green woollen 1956 Australian Baseball Team Olympic blazer pocket is embroidered with the Australian coat of arms. Beneath the coat of arms is a cream banner edged with red thread and embroidered with the word 'Manager'. Below that are the words 'Australian Baseball Team 1956' stitched in yellow thread.
At the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, baseball was a demonstration sport only. Australia played one game against the United States at Melbourne Cricket Ground on December 1. The game was called after six completed innings with the score United States 11, Australia 5.

This 1956 Olympic blazer pocket belonged to Rob Gordon, a member of the Australian Baseball Team. It was donated to the Baseball WA Museum and Archives by his son Mike Gordon.
