HONOUR BOARD: 'CITY OF SUBIACO: PROCLAIMED A CITY 1ST MARCH 1952'

1952
Overview

The board has a large metal plaque in the top section with the Subiaco Coat of Arms in the middle. Underneath are the words 'City of Subiaco' with gold flourishes at the end. Below this are the words 'Proclaimed a City 1st March 1952'. This is followed by the name of the Mayor, J. Abrahams J.P. and two columns of the Councillors names. These names are engraved on metal plaques with 2 screws to fix them to the board. Between the 2 rows of names and the bottom edge of the board is a plate with the name of the Town Clerk (A. Bower). The board has been made with 2 pieces of wood and joined lengthwise in the middle - the join is not that strong. On the back are 2 hooks with wire through to hang it onto a wall.
