Overview

B/W print. One man is standing and seven adults and two children, all in summer clothes, are seated on the edge of the verandah of what appears to be a weatherboard holiday house. A hessian blind partly encloses the end of the verandah and heaps of stones hide the stumps. In pencil on the rear [John Lefroy L/ Maida Lefroy nee Sharkey/ 3rd from R front].

Historical information

Maida Winsome Sharkey was born in Claremont in December 1905 and was the daughter of Raymond and Edith Florence Sharkey of 'Wainomi', 3 Victoria Avenue. Maida married John Lefroy in 1932.
