Bernard Daniel Ryder was husband of Fanny Therese Morris (m.1882), father of Hilda & Barney, grandfather of Esmee Byatt. Came from England to Ballarat. Stationmaster at Claremont Station approx 1895-1926. Seconded to WAGR because of his knowledge of animals - all show animals went to Showground by train in those days.
