Historical information

The first Stratham School was opened in 1895, with schoolmaster Mr Ross and assistant-mistress Mary Kane. A few years later, Jeremiah Murnane and his wife Uranie took over the running of the school.

Mr Jerry Murnane (headtheacher) Mrs Uranie (Nina) Murnane (sewing mistress)
Their twin sons Adrian Roy and Edward (Ted) on right of frot row in similar dress.
Others included T.W. Roberts (Will) tallest at back, Adrian, Catherine (Kate) and George Scott, shildren of G.F and A Scott of Sunnyside, members of W. Proctor Scott's family of "Roselands".
