Overview

A gallon white and green steel container that has a latched opening at both ends. The top end opens to a tubular cannister into which the cream mixture would be poured. The other end opened to a cavity into which the ice was placed around the cream cannister. There was no churning mechanism

Historical information

hand-cranked ice cream freezer, featuring a tinplated iron barrel often painted blue or green with a, stencil on the side. It uses a double-walled inner cylinder for ice and salt mixture to freeze ice cream.
