Portable Metal Butter Churn
A small metal butter churn that was designed to sit on top of a bucket or other container that contained cream. The churn has 2 vertical metal paddles. The top of each paddle has a flat horizontal metal bar with 2 vertical U shapes, made of thick rigid metal wire, attached. A small horizontal gear cog is attached above the top centre of each paddle by a small vertical metal shaft. These gear cogs then feed into a large central gear cog which is powered by the crank shaft which has a turned wood handle. Between the large gear cog and the crank handle is fixed a flat metal brace which is used to support the device over the bucket or container.
