Austral Terrace, Katanning, looking South
c. 1964A water colour and ink drawing of a buildings along a street from the intersection of another street. The name on one of the buildings is "Katanning Stock? Trading Co. Ltd." and there is a horse and cart in the middle of the street.
Interestingly, this drawing states that it is a view of Austral Terrace looking South, however the original postcard states that it is a view of Austral Terrace looking North.

At the bottom of the drawing is hand written in black ink "Austral terrace, Katanning, looking South". At the bottom right hand side is the signature "L.Monck".
Lesley Monck was aged 15 years in 1964 and was the daughter of Muriel and Les Monck. Les Monck was the District Officer from 1950 to 1967/68 of Katanning Water Supply. The office of which is now the museum?, he transferred to the new depot before transferring back to the Albany office. This artwork was likely drawn from item HSP1987.199, which as of April 2025 is missing.
