c. 1968This is a coloured water colouring drawn from a picture of the Katanning Flour Mill and the intersection of two main streets in Katanning. The buildings, cars, trees, horses and people are outined in black ink. The picture shows the intersection of two streets and the buildings along both streets. There is a team of four horses pulling three railway wagons and another wagon behind these. There is a man, child and woman standing across the railway tracks watching the horses and there is one car parked outside the main building and another car parked on the other street. There are trees along both sides of the a street and electricity poles. The buildings are coloured a light red, trees are a light green and the street a darker red.

Underneath the drawing in black ink is written 'Katanning Flour Mill about 1932' and on the right hand side is a signature 'L. Monck'
This artwork is drawn from item HSP2004.144a which is a picture of the Katanning Flour Mill, Clive street and Austral Terrace in c1940.
Artist: Lesley Monck. Age 15 in 1964, daughter of Muriel and Les Monck. He was the district officer, 1950 -1967/8 of Katanning water supply (the office of which is now the museum). Transferring to the "new depot" before transferring back to the Albany office.
