Edgar Ledger was born in South Australia. He was a Baptist minister before becoming a Congregational minister. He and his wife Mary had five children: Amy, Lorna, Phyllis, Ray and Edgar (Jnr). Lived at 60 Stirling Highway, Claremont (now 260 Strling Highway)
