No 2A Brownie Camera
c. 1920 - 1924A black embossed cardboard Brownie camera with a black leather strap on the top for a handle. The camera has a top and right side view finder, there is a metal winder on the right hand side. On the right hand side near the front of the camera is a metal lever which slides down to take the photograph. At the bottom of right hand side and the top left are circular clips which slide to hold the camera together. On the top of the camera to the left of the viewfinder are two metal levers which slide upwards. The middle lever controls the aperture of the lens, there are three positions. At the highest position of the lever gives the smallest aperture. The smaller left lever controls the shutter speed.

Embossed on the leather strap is "BROWNIE".
Embossed on the back of the camera is a circle, inside the circle is embossed "Use Film", "No", "116"., in a half circle below the circle is embossed "No 2A BROWNIE". On the back of the camera is a black plate with five lines of etched silver lettering "MADE IN U.S.A", "BY", "EASTMAN", "KODAK COMPANY", "ROCHESTER N.Y.", " U.S.A".
Embossed on the inside of the box is "No 2A BROWNIE CAMEA", "MODEL B", "U.S.PATEMTS", "FEB.1.1916 MAR.21.1916".
